JAMIPOL has identified its key communities in terms of demography and activities both at Jamshedpur and Toranagallu. The objective of the company is to focus its resources for social development and up-liftment of the women and children of the key communities and also the other underprivileged members of the society. The areas identified within the framework may be health, education, self-reliance and infrastructure.
The spouses of employees of JAMIPOL Limited (an associate of Tata Steel) at Jamshedpur have formed a non-profitable social organization named 'Asmita' by a nucleus of young enthusiastic women with Mrs. Surekha Nerurkar as its Chairperson on 21st Aug’08. The mission and objective of this organization is "To provide services of unequivocal excellence to women and children within the framework of health, safety, education and total empowerment in general and for the upliftment of the society at large".
Apart from the above, the Company has been making significant contribution towards national cause in our states of operation and neighbouring states, science and technical communities in the state and sporting activities in the state.
JAMIPOL is also tying up with Tata Steel for involving itself in the Affirmative Action Initiatives. Towards this the company has already adopted the Code of Conduct on AA and the Policy of Affirmative Action and the same has been approved by the BOD.
