Legendary leader Mr. JRD Tata had said, Quote “ The Tata Philosophy of management has always been and is today more than ever, that corporate enterprises must be managed not merely in the interest of owners, but equally in those of their employees, of the consumers of their products, of the local community and finally of the country as a whole.” Unquote.
These words embody the management philosophy of the Tata Group. In order to provide a viable working platform to all Tata Group Companies and also to enable them to uniformly follow a business model, “The Tata Business Excellence Model” was introduced in 1995. This model has not only helped the companies to institutionalize much needed changes in the processes and systems, but, more importantly, has changed the mind set. An award to recognize the companies that cross a threshold in excellence was instituted in the memory of Mr. JRD Tata and called “JRDQV Award”. Mr. Ratan N Tata, the Group Chairman, while hailing the TBEM movement, has termed it as the one that provides glue to further integrate the group. As India and the Tata Group ride the winds of change, TBEM has enabled group companies to accept the challenge of competition with confidence and turn out superior performance.
JAMIPOL too has begun its journey of excellence by committing itself to adopt systems and processes suggested in TBEM. In the never ending journey to excellence, the first step was taken in 2006 by subjecting to external assessment the processes and the systems of JAMIPOL. This assessment resulted in identification of several opportunities for improvement. Correcting processes and systems in line with these opportunities shall enable JAMIPOL to exhibit superior all round performance.
